Dr Matthew Peverelle

Gastroenterologist, Hepatologist and Bariatric Endoscopist

(M.D, FRACP, B.Biomed.)

Melbourne, Australia

I am a gastroenterologist and hepatologist based in Melbourne, committed to providing thorough, compassionate, and evidence-based care to all of my patients.

I completed my advanced training in gastroenterology at Monash Health and Austin Health, as well as at the Victorian Liver Transplant Unit. I then undertook a hepatology fellowship at King’s College Hospital in London, United Kingdom. I currently work as a consultant at Monash Health and previously worked at Western Health and Eastern Health.

For patients seeking weight loss and metabolic health improvement, I provide endoscopic, non-surgical weight loss procedures, namely the intra-gastric balloon (IGB) and Endoscopic Sleeve Gastroplasty (ESG) following rigorous further training.

My approach is centred on delivering personalised care to each of my patients, ensuring that each feels informed, supported, and confident in their treatment plan.
